    A stunning pair of pistols by any standards.

    Incredibly Ornate Pair of Gold and Silver Mounted Turkish 18th Century F/L Holster Pistols. 16½" overall with 11¼" octagon to round .58 caliber smoothbore barrels. All metal smooth and clean, about perfect. Barrels with overlaid gold decoration at the front sight, step down, breech and tang with multiple proofmarks and gold signature on top of the barrel. Silver mountings all chaised/ engraved, including trigger guard, buttcap, wrist escutcheon with elaborate pierced side plate. Stocks are completely covered with silver wire inlay with many terminating in floral rosettes and geometric forms. The inlay work is remarkably 98% intact. Locks, also bearing a maker's signature, is exquisitely engraved including the roller frizzen, hammer, and pan. Completely original with absolutely no repair or restoration. Both guns in truly pristine condition.
