    Group of 7 Civil War Sanitary Fair Medals and Badges.
    Amazing collection of Sanitary Fair badges and medals from different events around the country. They measure in size from 22mm to 57mm. Examples include a "Volunteer Refreshment Committee" badge from the Philadelphia Sanitary Fair on May 27, 1861. On the reverse is the wearers name "Isaac B. Smith". Also included is an "Executive Committee" badge. On the disc it reads "Great Central Fair, which was held in Philadelphia from June 7-28, 1864. In the group is an unusual oval badge with a cross which could possibly be for the clergy. The largest medal is also from the Sanitary Fair held in Philadelphia in June 1864. The next piece is an award medal given to William C. Clark at the Chicago Fair in 1865. He was given the award for "Patriotic Services". The last two pieces include a medal from a Sanitary Fair held on Nantucket Island of the coast of Massachusetts in 1864, and a "Christian Commission badge. A rare group.
