Fully Etched Colt M1877 .41 Caliber DA 'Lightning' Revolver #113524 Matching Mfg. 1899. 4 1/2" barrel with Colt D. A. 41 panel. The gun overall retains 100% of a bright blue refinish and 98% of the gold plating on hammer, trigger, cylinder pin and release screw, ejector rod, and loading gate. Straps, frame, cylinder barrel, ejector rod housing and gold plated loading gate with full coverage of a deeply and exquisitely etched grape vine motif incorporating vines, leaves and berries. Etching obviously done 'after market' by a highly skilled craftsman and most likely Mexican. Mechanically perfect, excellent bore and retaining all correct original markings which are very crisp. Period ivory grips, indigenous to the gun, with rich mellow age patina and just a few surface age cracks. Sound and tight. A beautiful M1877 Colt.
