French Trooper's 1833 Brass Faced Cuirass Steel breastplate faced with brass leaving a steel border bearing brass studs. The front plate bearing the makers mark: "KLINGENTHAL" - "18xx" , 4 lining hooks broken off. The brass front exhibits a number of small dents commensurate with service use. The iron and brass backplate by the same maker with the legible date "1833", 3 lining hooks broken off. Rear plate brass also exhibits minor wear commensurate with service use. Missing the leather linking straps but still retains the brass curbchains and key plates. Overall a very attractive set, and again quite scarce.
