    Fine Burlwood Humidor Presented To General Henry Arnold May 1944 & Given By Him To Captain A.L. Benedict 1948 Fine burlwood box with mahogany base in excellent condition measuring 12 1/2" X 22 3/4" X 5 3/4", piano hinged, decorative line inlay, top inlayed "H.H.A.". Embossed inside the cover "Al General Henry H. Arnold / Recuerdo del Ejercito de Cuba / Habana Cuba. Mayo 1944", over a 1 1/8" X 3 3/4" silver plaque engraved "To Capt A.L. Benedict From Gen. H.H. Arnold Christmas 1948". Interior with removable compartmentalized insert 3 3/4" X 9" X 18 7/8", dovetailed, double sliding lids. One lid embossed "Flor De Tabacos Habana / IE Partagas Y Co", with the inked inscription "To Capt A. L. Benedict Xmas 1948 From His Friend H.H. Arnold Gen'l USAF". Accompanying the box a 2 3/8" bronze medal given by General H.H Arnold to Workers at Humble Oil Co for achievement in producing a billion gallons of 100 octane gasoline; 1945 Christmas card signed "H.H Arnold" and death notice from the Secretary of the Air Force announcing the death of General Arnold.
