    Exceptional Quality German Silver Frame British Percussion Pepperbox C. 1845. 9" overall with 4" .44 caliber smoothbore six barrel cluster. Silver band at the breech of each barrel with decorative engraving at the muzzle. Bar hammer and trigger guard both extensively engraved. Double action, mechanically perfect, including sliding safety. All metal smooth and clean, really excellent. The German silver frame, recoil shields and backstrap are all heavily chaised/ engraved with scroll work including panel on the backstrap with the maker's name "Harvey & Son/ Exeter". Finely checkered wood plaque grips about perfect with engraved screw escutcheons. Superb quality and condition and especially desirable large size. Completely original with no repairs or restoration.
