    Description

Do It Electrically 34" x 27" Artist: Unknown. Printed by Electric P.R. This poster has close ties to a poster stamp printed in 1916 which was designed by poster artist John E. Sheridan to promote America's Electrical Week. Sheridan produced several famous WWI posters, including "Rivets are Bayonets." He was also extremely well know for illustrating the covers of The Saturday Evening Post. This poster carries the same message as Electrical Week, in that it asks Americans to use electricity and save coal for the war effort. A unique poster, do not miss it!

Condition-Fine; small/minor tears on edges, paper is yellowing slightly but not yet brittle.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
