    Complete WWII Model 1928 McClellan Cavalry Saddle and Equipment. An eye-catching display with as complete a rig as could be desired. Comprising: 1.) Model 1928 McClellan russet-brown cavalry saddle, 11-inch seat, with correct side skirts, wool-covered tree and six coat straps. Girth. 2.) Olive drab 1945 dated shelter half affixed to the saddle by three "US" marked russet brown leather straps. 3.) Leather M1 Garand scabbard stamped "U.S. / FULTON / L.G. Co. / 1942". 4.) 1943-dated mounted canteen. 5.) U.S. marked olive drab wool blanket affixed to the saddle by three "US" marked russet brown straps. 6.) Russet brown leather saddle bags with embossed "US" on each flap and marked "LONG / 1917/ F.A.W." 7.) April 21, 1941 issue of LIFE magazine with an article "The Cavalry: How Men on Horseback Team Up With Machines" and a great cover of a U.S. cavalryman. Sold with the wooden stand if the buyer desires it.

    Condition: Saddle and all accessories in very good to excellent condition.
