Colt SAA Revolver. .44 Rimfire Series #1252. The gun is accompanied by a factory letter from 1967 which states it was "one of fifty similar models sold and shipped to the H & D Folsom Arms Company, on November 1, 1877. The letter states neither the barrel length nor finish. The gun retains 100% of what we believe to be a period renickle finish. All markings excellent and sharp. mechanically perfect and excellent bore. The gun has what we believe to be the original 7 1/2" barrel with standard later markings. 1871 and 1872 patent dates on left side of the frame with the cylinder bearing the correct serial number. The period ivory grips which exhibit a rich mellow patina and surface age cracks are delicately carved with scrollwork and a Mexican eagle on the left side, with identical scrollwork and a horseman brandishing a pistol, chasing a buffalo, on the right side. A very rare Colt with total production of only 1800 guns. This being a most impressive example with great western flavor.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
