    Very Fine, Unit Marked, Model 1860 Spencer .52 Caliber Repeating Carbine Serial # 38999 A very sharp Civil War Spencer with much original blue on the barrel mixing with smooth brown patina. Excellent bore., crisp markings. Frame and lock with light case colors and mechanically perfect. Stock showing just some scattered minor dents with a very small chip at the butt tang, very minor. Strong inspectors' cartouches. There is a period stamp in the stock just forward the butt tang which reads "L Troop" "1st Cavalry". A truly exceptional Civil War Spencer and especially desirable with these period unit markings.
