    U.S. Model 1855 Springfield .58 Caliber Percussion Pistol Carbine Dated 1856 With reproduction stock. Pistol has 12" round .58 caliber barrel with dark bore, adjustable rear and fixed front sights. Barrel and backstrap dark with areas of surface roughness and pitting at the bolster. Lock mostly smooth and dark, tight crisp action. Brass with undisturbed patina showing minor dents. Wood is broken and repaired from the lock through the trigger guard to the lock screws and shows dents, scratches and minor losses. Non original stock has been produced utilizing an unidentified butt and reproduction brass yoke. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.
