    Description

    Three U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Sabers. As follows.
    (1) 34 1/2" blade with a bright / gray finish, the obverse ricasso marked "U.S. / J.F." with illegible date, the reverse ricasso with light Ames markings. Brass guard slightly bent. Leather grip shows wear and losses, intact wire. Housed in a reproduction steel scabbard.
    (2) 34 1/2" blade, gray finish with minor scattered pitting, the obverse marked "U.S. / J.M." with date covered by the leather washer, reverse marked "Emerson & Silver Trenton N.J." Heavily bent guard exhibits a dark undisturbed patina. Leather grip and wire wrap are tight but grip exhibits a horizontal crack. Steel scabbard with a smooth and gray finish exhibits a few dents near the drag.
    (3) 34 1/2" blade with a mostly smooth and gray finish but with scattered dark staining and minor pitting at the tip, marked on the ricasso with the partial Bow "BM" mark of J.E. Bleckmann of Solingen. Brass hilt excellent, leather grip re-wrapped. Nickel plated scabbard exhibits a few scattered dents.
