    Description

    Three Swords: Early 19th Century Cavalry Saber, Civil War Navy Cutlass, and Dutch Klewang Navy Cutlass. As follows.
    (1) Early 19th Century cavalry saber with deeply curved blade exhibiting traces of simple etching, the front etched "Solingen". Blade is mostly smooth and bright / gray with patches of minor pitting. Brass guard, leather grip showing losses. Brass scabbard in excellent condition with just a few minor dents. Brass has been polished and lacquered.
    (2) Civil War Navy Cutlass with 25 5/8" blade lightly stamped on the ricasso "U.S.N./ D.J. / 1862". Leather wrap missing, brass cup guard removed. Leather scabbard is in excellent condition showing surface crazing only.
    (3) Model 1941 Dutch Klewang Navy Cutlass produced in the U.S. by Milsco for the Dutch government. 24 7/8" clipped point blued blade showing minor wear and sharpening. Black bakelite handle and blued guard excellent. Brown leather scabbard exhibits surface crazing and minor chips at the throat.
