    Description

Sheet Brass Stud Spurs: Possibly Confederate.
Excellent pair of sheet brass stud spurs. The arms narrow from the neck and widen again into the stud plate are reminiscent of Confederate spurs. The buckles ,not present, would have attached to the strap and not the stud. The pair have pointed rowels with disks on either side to limit penetration into the horse. The disks look to be a Mexican innovation, and noted on other Civil War era spurs.
