Robert E. Lee: Scarce Post-War Histories. Nice pair of Robert E. Lee books, both bound in green cloth with gilt titles. One is "Four Years with General Lee" by Walter H. Taylor, New York, D. Appleton & Company, 199 pp. Slightly cracked hinges, minor wear to spine extremities, library markings at bottom of spine, generally a fine, clean copy. An added bonus is a tipped-in war-date document of the author, reading: "Approved By order of General Lee W. H. Taylor A.A.G. 3rd May 1864". The second book is "Personal Reminiscences of Gen. Robert E. Lee" by Rev. J. William Jones, New York, D. Appleton & Company, 509 pp. with advertisements. A very good copy that was owned by a Dallas lady who wrote a summary of her father's military record in Terry's Rangers on the inside cover and rear endpaper.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
