    Description

    Private Purchase Spurs: Four Varieties.
Nice group of four spurs including a pin & screw heel spur made by Wade & Ford, a manufacturer of medical equipment from 1860-1866. Has a screw for a pin similar to Tiffany's. The only example we know of. The second spur is a tinned steel example with a buckle & stud. The third example is a steel spur with an animal head, similar to a Dolphin spur, and has a sharp 8-point rowel. The last spur has an arched neck, and appears to have a "Dainty" neck when viewed from the side. But when viewed from the top one can see it has a wide sturdy neck. A fine group. From the Bob Baird Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
