    MEDICAL SUPPLY BOAT, APPOMATTOX LANDING, VIRGINIA (No. 72). This panorama shows the supply boat Planter secured at a pier formed by a section of a pontoon bridge about a mile above City Point and across from Gen. Butler's forces at Bermuda Hundred. Other boats are moored to a separate pier and a curious soldier in fatigue garb looks on in the foreground. Mount measures 10.75 by 14 inches, with a small chip in the lower right corner. The image measures 9 by 6.75 inches. Dated 1865 and noted "Negative by J. Reekie" and "Positive by A. Gardner..." along with the date taken: "January, 1865."
