    Martially Marked Warner Civil War Breech Loading Carbine # 1309 as Manufactured by Greene Rifle Works Cal. 56-50 Spencer. One of the rarest of the Civil War US secondary martial carbines with only 2500 produced in this contract and delivered between February and March of 1865, with this being a fine example. All metal smooth and dark gray with traces of original color on the hammer. Very good markings including Greene Rifle Works and C. D. R. inspector on the left side of the frame, and barrel at breech. Numbered 29 on the underside of the frame. Brass frame perfect with nice untouched patina. Mechanically perfect with mint bore. Wood excellent with nice untouched patina with inspector's mark M. M. adjacent to the frame as well as forward of the the tang of the brass butt plate and on the butt plate tang itself. A very nice example of this rare Civil War carbine that is very difficult to obtain in this fine condition.
