    General Sheridan and Staff: Mounted Albumen. Taken by Mathew Brady in May 1864 depicting Philip Sheridan and his staff: Wesley Merritt, David McM. Gregg, Henry Davis, Jr., James H. Wilson and A. T. A. Torbert. The commander of the Shenandoah Valley campaign has his hat and sword in his lap and holds a cigar. A large map is laid out at his feet. Excellent detail and tonality. 7" x 9" on a 14" x 11" mount.
