    Federal Pattern of July 1864 Brown .58 Caliber Cartridge Box and Matching Shoulder Belt.
    A beautiful cartridge box conforming to all the specifications of the Pattern of July, 1864. Front flap marked with contractor's cartouche: "E. A. CROSSMAN & CO. / NEWARK / N.J." Complete with the inner tins. The matching brown shoulder belt measures approximately 2-inches wide and also bears an identical E. A. Crossman contractor mark.

    Condition: The cartridge box is in excellent condition with what amounts to only modest storage wear. The shoulder belt is in very good condition with some surface crazing to the leather, but it remains supple and serviceable.
