    Enfield P 1856 Cavalry Carbine Dated 1857 Metal cleaned, the lock showing scattered pitting. 21", .60 caliber round barrel with typical British proofs at the breech, adjustable rear sight, fixed front sight. Swivel type ramrod, carbine bar and ring. Lock marked "1857 Tower", (Crown) "V.R.", hammer slips at full cock. Brass furniture very good with minor dents and scratches. Stock has losses at the rear forearm, repaired wrist, thick stock varnish crazed.
