    Description

    Confederate Insignia Taken as Souvenirs from Richmond at the End of the War. Pieces mounted on a blank page from a Confederate Quartermaster General's requisition book. Two buttons at the top with ink script ID, "Confederate Buttons captured at the final surrender". A artillery cuff CSA215As2 (Tice) Treble Rich Stand'd and a staff cuff CS205As1 (Tice) SKW / Extra Rich. Both buttons retain 100% of the original gilt, with the shank slightly bent on the artillery, the staff perfect. Attached at the bottom is an exquisitely detailed gilt brass star, 1" across the points, with period ink script ID, "a star denoting the rank of Brigadier General in Confederate Army". Also retains 100% of the original gilt. Great set of relics taken as souvenirs in Richmond at the close of the war.
