Colt M1861 .36 Cal. Percussion Navy Revolver #23060 Mfg. Late 1864. Gun retains 40% of the original blue on the barrel, balance generally smooth and dark. There are a few nicks/ dings scattered about on the barrel and cylinder but minor. Mechanically perfect, fine bore, excellent markings. The back strap is numbered 23006 but clearly a factory error and the gun matches throughout, although we could not remove the wedge. Retains 90% cylinder scene, nipples fine and vestiges of a few cylinder pins. Brass straps with nice patina and the grips are excellent retaining 20% of varnish. The gun overall completely untouched. Nice example of a Civil War period '61 Navy.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
