Civil War: Currier & Ives Prints. 1) Currier & Ives medium folio lithograph cartoon (18" x 13.5") titled "The Last Ditch of Chivalry, or a President in Petticoats." Minor damp stains, but generally a fine example. 2) Currier & Ives small folio lithograph (18" x 13.5" full borders) titled "The Fall of Richmond, Va. on the Night of April 2nd 1865." Some loss/chipping to border with two minor edge tears, clean overall. 3) Currier & Ives medium folio lithograph cartoon (13.5" x 18") titled "A Disloyal British 'Subject'." An Irish sailor talks with John Bull about possibly enlisting in the Union Navy. Two posted broadsides on the wall behind them reflect the views of the common man in Britain versus that of the government. The would-be sailor's sympathies are definitely with the North. Excellent condition... the first example we have seen.
