    Captain Leonard Tice [WIA Wilderness]: 5th Regiment Vermont Infantry Frock Coat and Related Items.
    Wool nine-button captain's frock coat that belonged to Leonard D. Tice. A silver i.d. badge in the shape of a cross (6th Army Corps) is pinned on the chest area. It is engraved: "L. D. Tice 5th Vermont Brigade Co. K". Captain's shoulder straps, green and beige silk lining, dark blue velvet inner collar lining. Scattered mothing and severe moth damage, most pronounced at the bottom, but sound overall. Sold together with a sword rig with holster and M1851 eagle belt plate (moderate wear) and Tice's personal copy of an 1869 regimental history titled "The Vermont Brigade in the Shenandoah Valley. 1864." (fair condition).

    Leonard Tice mustered in August 21, 1861 and mustered out September 15, 1864. He was wounded in action at the Wilderness in May of 1864.
