    Austrian Lorenz .58 Caliber Rifled Musket Identified to Christian Imhoff, Co A, 130th Illinois Infantry Lock marked "861" for 1861 production date. Overall in untouched condition with a mostly smooth and gray finish mixed with scattered pitting around the breech and lock plate. Wood is excellent with a deep undisturbed finish. Deeply scratched on the cheek "C.I Co A 130 Ill.", unquestionably period. Christian Imhoff enlisted on 8/23/182 as a private and was mustered into Company A, 30th Illinois Infantry. Transferred into Company C 77th Illinois Infantry 1/25/1865.
