Another War Time Souvenir of Capt. Cornelius Boyer "Key to the Stockate (sic) of Andersonville Prison" 4 5/8" long, very heavy, obviously hand made, iron key. Attached to the key is an ink script note written on the back of a business card of Cornelius Neil Boyer "Member at Large" Senior Vice Department Commander Department of California and Nevada, G. A. R., with the following information "Comrade Boyer Key to Stockate (sic) of Andersonville Prison "Confederate" Brot (sic) away by one of our men on the surrender 1865". Key in excellent untouched condition with just some light surface rust and deep dark patina. Great artifact from probably the most infamous site of the war.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
