Anomalous Colt M1860 .44 Cal. Percussion Army Revolver # 89267 Mfg. 1863. Superb condition, the gun retains 50% of the original blue fading/ mixing with smooth brown patina. 80% case colors on frame and lever. Cylinder scene perfect. All matching, although we were unable to remove the wedge. Mechanically perfect, excellent bore, crisp markings. The anomalous factor associated with the gun is the serial # on the barrel, which while matching, is clearly struck with a slightly smaller font. Obviously period, and most certainly factory, but the first incidence of this we've noted. A beautiful 1860 Army encompassing an intriguing research project.
