    2nd Model Virginia Manufactory Saber Identified to 4th Virginia Regiment. 37" deeply curved blade smooth and gray with minor dark staining, deeply stamped on the back "4 Va Regt". Grip missing wire and leather, wood excellent with minor 1" crack. Pierced iron guard dark with scattered minor pitting, has remains of gold paint. Iron scabbard showing 20% original black paint, remainder light pitting heavier at the inner curve. Very nice example of this scarce and desirable Virginia sword. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
