    Description

    [Civil War]. Account Ledger of Edward M. Kean, Assistant Paymaster, Confederate States Navy. Twenty-six pages, 8" x 12.5", Shreveport, Louisiana; September 30, 1864. A list of expenses, compiled by Kean, from July 1, 1863 to September 30, 1864, for such things as gun boats, books and charts, medical supplies, general stores, and pay for crews.

    Condition: Ledger is bound together by pink string, shows signs of water staining, several pages are torn, with slight paper loss; last page has paper glued to verso to cover tear. Overall good.
