    Description

    Civil War Regulation Officer's Frock Coat Single breasted 9 button front, four buttons missing, the five remaining are Federal staff buttons backmarked "Scovill Mfg Co Waterbury" in recessed channel. Four tail button with same mark, cuff buttons missing. Excellent period sleeve cut, tufted at the shoulders, raw cut skirt. Brown polished cotton interior breast and tail pocket linings, white cotton sleeve linings. Black velvet collar stands 1 5/8", shows general wear. Lining shows a few small holes and minor seam separations. Exterior has a small seam separation and scattered holes mostly on the left sleeve the largest being 1/4" remainder very small. Missing shoulder straps.
