    Description

    Civil War Officer's Cap Embossed "Green and Green, Louisville, Kentucky" in the crown. Dark blue body with braid denoting rank. Exterior of hat is in good overall condition, however, the silk lining has deteriorated on the sides, but remains good in the crown where the label is. This is the exact hat pictured on page 96, bottom right of U.S. Army Headgear 1812-1872 by John P. Langellier and C. Paul Loane .
