    Civil War Mann's Patent Accouterment Set ID' d to Benjamin Metzig 50th Wisconsin Infantry Model 1864 Mann's Patent cartridge box complete with both over the shoulder slings and three compartment tin insert. Box excellent condition with minor surface crazing on the flap, light "US" and Mann's patent stamp, unbroken tab. Straps complete and pliable both with surface crazing. Mann's patent infantry waist belt with distinctive buckle and double brass "D" rings, minor surface crazing. Belt is complete with percussion cap box and .58 caliber bayonet and scabbard. Cap box with partial inspector stamp on lightly crazed flap, inner flap and wool missing. .58 caliber bayonet fine with a couple of tiny dark spots, leather scabbard soft with minor surface crazing on the belt loop. Included are National Archives copies of the records of Benjamin Metzig Co D 50th Wisconsin Infantry and a letter attesting to the purchase of the set from Metzig's grandson. Mann's patent accouterment's are rare to find particularly identified and in matching untouched condition
