    Civil War Era Weiss Surgeon's Field Amputation Kit in Mahogany Case.
    Containing tourniquet, amputation saw, nine other smaller instruments and suture needles and thread. All are marked Weiss London. Saw features a 10 1/8-inch serrated blade and curved handle marked: RAZOR MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY with carved royalty scene to left side. Right side reads: J. WEISS LONDON NO. 62 / STRAND. All contained in felt lined fitted mahogany case, inside bottom tray marked: WEISS'S IMPROVD AIR TIGHT CASE - 62 STRAND LONDON. Front of case and lid each feature a blank brass escutcheon.

    Condition: Very good. Some noticeable patches of pitting to saw blade. Other instruments showing light wear and fine patches of pitting. Minor scattered scuffs and dings to case due to storage.
