    Description

British Percussion "Brunswick" Rifle, Tower 1864 30" round barrel with two groove rifling in a bore that measures .76. A thick V sight is dovetailed at the rear of the barrel and a small blade sight very near the muzzle. Breech with typical British proofs. A long bayonet stud affixed to the barrel on the right side near the muzzle. Lock is marked crown over "VR" behind the hammer and "1864 / Tower" forward of the hammer. All mounts are brass. The gun shows wear and use overall, the stock with a number of dents and scratches commensurate with that use. There are areas of fill at the bottom of the lock and on the ramrod channel on the left side. Metal is mainly smooth and gray with minor pitting at the breech.
