British Military: Revolutionary War and War of 1812 Buttons.
Two cards with one-hundred three [103] coat & cuff buttons, most captioned and identified, many designating the number of the regiment. We note two examples of the "Roman Catholic Volunteers" (RCV) and a pewter button showing the Union Jack, worn by a member of the "1st American Queens Rangers". There is one French button for the "Regt. de Watterville". Some of the captions also specify the location where the button was dug. Sold together with four loose items. Condition varies. A veritable history lesson! From the Donald G. Partrick Collection.
