    British 3rd Model Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. 39 1/4" .80 caliber round smoothbore barrel, smooth and dark with areas of light pitting at the touch hole and breech which is marked with standard proofs. "GR" and "Tower" marked lock plate dark with minor light pitting at the pan, mechanically perfect, hammer screw a replacement, frizzen with an old reface. Brass fittings excellent with an old deep patina. Iron front swivel is a replacement, original ramrod. Butt stock stamped with Broadarrow / date "1805", and "Rowe" at the side plate. Stock shows a number of small scattered dents, a break at the second pipe, cracks at the lock that follow through to the side plate and a small area of fill at the back of the lock.
