    Description

Baden Field Artillery Regiment 30, Rastatt 1898/1900 Regimental Reservist Stein. A beautiful example of a porcelain regimental stein, 11½" tall named to a "Fahrer Staiger", whose name also appears on the regimental roster on the stein. The stein body is decorated with the typical patriotic vignettes and the shoulder strap of the regiment. The regiment's motto: "Kanonendonner ist unser Gruss" (Cannon thunder is our greeting) appears along the front rim of the stein. The pewter lid is topped with a cannon and soldier finial and the thumb lift the Baden winged griffin. The lithopane features a typical family scene. This half-liter stein is in very good condition, free from cracks, chips, or fading.
