Absolutely Magnificent Pair Of New York State Eaglehead Officer's Spurs C. 1830. Absolutely the finest quality and condition including New York state symbols that firmly establish their point of origin. The spread of the spurs at the back is 3 1/8". The length of the eaglehead and neck being 1 1/2", both retaining the original 5/8" iron rowels with delicate an extensive line decoration. The eaglehead with prominent beak is crowned, and the entire piece exhibits unusually fine delineation of feathers etc. Beneath the eagle's neck is the New York state hemisphere with the neck and hemisphere surrounded by 1/8" wide rays. Again very fine delineation. The eagle's wings extend on each side nearly to the end of the spur, which then terminates in delicate scroll/leaf work. Again exhibiting exceptional detail. The silvered buckles, three chains and attachment links, which are leaf decorated all perfect and each is 2 3/4" long. Both spurs absolutely perfect with the boot attachment chains retaining 99% of the original silver. An absolutely exquisite example of American eaglehead officer's spurs, exhibiting quality and workmanship far above the norm and especially desirable with the New York state symbolism.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
