    18th Century Silver Mounted English F/L Belt Pistol. 12½" overall with cannon turned 5" .50 caliber screw barrel. Barrel numbered one with corresponding number at the breech. Frizzen spring inset on the top of the breech, British proofs on the underside of the breech. All metal smooth and clean, about perfect. Trigger guard and frame nicely engraved including maker, Welch. Grip profusely inlaid with silver wire in scroll and floral patterns, 80% intact. Grotesque mask silver butt cap bearing Birmingham 1780 touchmarks, perfect. Choice example of this attractive and desirable form.
