    [D-Day Invasion]: August 1944 Allied Landing Map. 21.75" x 28.75" military map of beachheads in Provence, part of Operation Dragoon, mounted to board and housed in a simple inexpensive frame. Issued subsequent to D-Day, July 20, 1944, by the 19th Field Survey Company, "Prepared by Commander U. S. Eighth Fleet N-2 Section" Marked in red "Top Secret - Bigot (Until Departure for combat operation when this sheet becomes restricted)." It depicts a panoramic beach sketch, water level silhouettes and overall oblique of assault area. Even light toning. Can be shipped with or without frame, as requested by winning bidder.
