    [Civil War] Map Showing the Proposed Plan for the Bombardment of Fort Fisher. One page, 43" x 31.5", hand drawn in black and red ink, titled "Plan of the Bombardment of Fort Fisher," n.d. (circa late 1864-early 1865). Paper is brown and thin; quite possibly tracing paper. Fold creases are present throughout with some localized staining on the edges. The images and text is bold and beautiful.

    Located on one of the inlets to Cape Fear River, Fort Fisher was important in protecting one of the most vital points of supply to the Confederacy. The fort fell January 15, 1865.
