[Artist Unknown] Superb Original Oil Painting of a Union Cavalry Charge, Late 19th to Early 20th Century. 8" x 24.5" on artist board, framed in a wood gilded gesso frame to an overall size of 29.25" x 12.75". Sadly the artist of this dynamic work is unknown, but he (or she) was obviously a gifted artist able to catch an instant in the motion, terror and chaos of a Civil War cavalry charge. The cavalrymen have emerged from the smoke of the battle field, sabers drawn rushing headlong into the fray. Without a doubt this would be a fabulous addition to any Civil War collector's den or "war room". Excellent condition.
