    US Officer's M1895 Visored Cap in Near Mint Condition. Blue wool body with metal eyelets at front and sides for ventilation. Gold bullion embroidered spread wing eagle on the front. 1 5/8" dark blue velvet band around the base of the hat. Bullion cord chinstrap with US staff eagle side buttons. Bound leather visor tarred on top and slightly bent on one side but easily straightened, else the hat is overall about mint. 1 7/8" brown leather sweatband showing no signs of wear. Black silk lining with gilt embossed logo of "H. V. Allien & Co. / 734 Broadway / New York." An exceptional officer's M1895 cap.
