U.S. Navy Chapeau de Bras, Sword Belt and Epaulettes in the Original Japanned Tin Box, Circa Mid-20th Century. A beautiful set including a size 7 ¼ Chapeau de Bra (fore-and-aft cap) with a Frank Thomas Company, Norfolk, Virginia retailer's mark in the crown. This is a superb example showing no signs of wear (the chapeau de bras was never popular). The set also includes Lt. J.G. medical corps rank epaulettes marked "Made in France" and with a N. S. Meyer retailer mark. Again, in superb, seemingly unused condition. Lastly, a naval officers' sword belt completes the set. All items are housed in the original fitted, Japanned tin storage box, complete with what appears to be the original tissue paper. The top of the box's lid has the initials "E. R." and "U.S.N." A fantastic set.

Condition: Excellent. All items seem to be unused.
