    Description

Pair of Civil War Period Leather Gaiters as worn by Chasseur units and several other elite regiments. Heavy textured leather, cut on the bottom to fit over the top of the shoe or boot. Each gaiter with four leather closure tabs and 3/4" roller buckles, one buckle missing. Also leather tab with roller buckle which fit under the shoe / boot in front of the heel. Both of these tabs are in place and full length attached to the buckle but the stitching on the other side is detached, easily repaired, else the gaiters are in near perfect, very sound condition with no crazing or flaking. A rare Civil war uniform accessory.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
