Pair of 19th Century U.S. Army Officer's Epaulettes. A matched left and right pair with "Meyer Military Shop" markings on the reverse. The left example has a Brigadier General's single bullion star affixed to it but it's unknown when it was added. Additionally, there are faint outlines of removed regimental insignia from each epaulette. Each epaulette features heavy bullion fringe, red morocco backing and red silk underlays. The brass crescents retain most of the original gilt. Marked "Left" and "Right" on the brass mounting hooks.

Condition: Very good. With some fraying to the bullion trim on the shoulder portion and generally a bit dirty from storage.
