Description
Civil War Cavalry Musician's Shell Jacket. A mint example , stamped in the sleeve "SA/3", indicating Schuylkill Arsenal, size 3. Schuylkill Arsenal, located in Philadelphia, was the largest facility producing uniforms for the Union Army. This is a very desirable size 3 which seems to be somewhat rare among the few surviving Artillery Musicians Jacket examples. The few specimens we have seen seem to be size 1's which are often so small, they look like a child's coat when displayed. This is an opportunity to aquire one that displays nicely and is in excellent condition.
