British Made Ike Jacket, Flight Officer, 8th Air Force, With Pathfinder Insignia. Likely belonging to a glider pilot, this apparently custom-made Ike jacket appears in all respects to be of British manufacture. No maker's mark or other identification is present on the jacket. The jacket has a fine bullion big-wing 8th Air Force insignia on the upper left sleeve and a Pathfinder insignia and service stripes on the lower portion of the sleeve. The Pathfinder insignia is silk embroidery on a blue wool backing. All insignia are hand-sewn. The jacket is complete with all collar insignia, Pilot Officer shoulder insignia and a ribbon bar over the left breast pocket with ribbons for an Air Medal (with cluster), Purple Heart, and European-African- Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two stars and single spearhead. An Army Presidential Unit Citation bar is mounted above the right pocket.

Condition: Excellent. The only wear is some fraying at the cuffs.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
