    Description

    State of Massachusetts Bay Ten Pound Bounty Note. Single sheet, 6.5" x 7.5", with scallop cut at left. December 31, 1776. Certificate No. 603. Signed by Henry Gardner as treasurer. Docket on verso records that one year interest was received, signed Sam Winthrop. Second cancellation across front states that interest for a second year has been paid.
    Condition: The certificate has been cancelled by means of several hash marks through Gardner's signature. Good margins, some wear and small chips at margins.
